Slurry systems for every liking

Vervaet has set the standard in slurry injection from the early-nineties and today it leads the European market for self-propelled application machinery. The four-wheel Quad 550 is the highest capacity machine in a range which also includes the three-wheel Hydro Trike and five-wheel Hydro Trike XL. Innovative solutions which are easy to operate and service with low maintenance costs contribute to a high residual value.

Tyres & Manouverability

The Quad is the lightest and strongest self-propelled machine in its class. The vast choice of tyres available includes 900/60 R38, 900/60 R42, 1050/50 R32, 1000/55 R32, 1000/65 R32 and 1250/50 R32, as well as dual row-crops. With most of these options the Quad remains within a 3m transport width. Its ultra-tight four-wheel steering can also be used in ‘crab steer’ mode so that each tyre runs in a different path, spreading its weight over the greatest possible area to avoid compaction.

Cab & Vervaet Connect

The Quad is fitted with the latest luxurious Claas cab which provides exceptional comfort and visibility. Vervaet’s touchscreen computer takes care of the machine’s main functions such as controlling the application rate. It also displays useful machine statistics such as fuel usage and work rate. The Vervaet Connect telematics system is fitted as standard and makes a whole plethora of invaluable information from machine location to application maps and field-specific summaries available through the MyVervaet online portal.

Engine & Transmission

The Quad’s 13-litre Volvo Penta engine delivers 550hp at a low engine speed of just 1200rpm. Excellent fuel economy also comes as standard. The Vervaet hydro-mechanical transmission combines the best of both technologies, utilising hydraulic motors to provide infinitely variable speed control to mechanical axles which deal with the high torque loadings associated with the demanding nature of high-output work. With this clever driveline concept the Vervaet Quad offers higher torque than any other self-propelled machine on the market in the crucial 5 to 15 km/h speed range. Diff-locks on each axle and a centre diff-lock are standard.

Slurry System

The proven slurry system features a choice of Vogelsang and Börger 9,000 l/min pumps, or the SuperLoad system with 10” piping and a Börger pump of up to 13,500 l/min. The tried and tested Vervaet cyclone macerator is standard, or a Vogelsang macerator fitted ahead of the pump is optional. A loading arm is suitable for every operator and situation and doesn’t hinder the driver’s visibility when folded. Application tools are carried on a heavy-duty rear-linkage making it particularly quick and convenient to swap between, for example, an injector and a cultivator.
