Huge capacity and gentle handling

The Vervaet Beet Eater 625 Evo offers immense harvesting capacity. The well-proven and highly-regarded Vervaet lifting system combined with a massive cleaning area and 25-tonne tank provides the highest level of output. Six wide tyres spread the machine’s weight evenly minimising soil compaction and leaving a level field.

Topping & Lifting

The Combi 2 topper is capable of mulching beet tops between the rows for easy incorporation or spreading to the right-hand side. Flail speeds of up to 1200rpm ensure tops are thoroughly pulverised. The compact and light Integral topper can also be specified, and is a mulching-only topper. Scalper height and angle is adjusted from the cab.

The unique Vervaet lifting unit uses rotating walking shares. Their speed is adjustable from the cab, and at 700rpm each share makes 23 lifting movements per second. A self-seeking ability ensures gentle and precise lifting. Lifting depth is accurately controlled by hydraulically driven steel depth wheels. Hydraulic row-width adjustment is standard.

Cleaning

Vervaet is the only manufacturer to offer two types of primary cleaning system – turbines or rollerbed. The 625 offers an industry-leading level of cleaning capacity when equipped with either option. Turbines offer maximum cleaning for coping with the stickiest of clay soils, with plenty of options including contra-rotating and open-ended turbines. The rollerbed offers another option for those working on suitable soil types. Seven full-width rollers feed the beet to a central cleaning turbine between the front wheels, continuing the positive cleaning action.

With a total of up to eight turbines the 625 achieves fast working speeds without compromising on cleaning quality. The system is gentle on the beet and has a wide range of adjustment to suit varying conditions with turbine speed adjusted from the cab. The ring trace runs in-line for optimised weight distribution. A 25-tonne tank capacity keeps unloading cycles to a minimum.

Engine & Transmission

A 15.6-litre Mercedes-Benz MTU engine produces 643hp. It is mounted crossways at the rear, together with the hydraulic pumps, to give the best possible weight distribution and allow easy access for servicing. Running at just 12-1400rpm it gives extremely frugal fuel consumption for cost-effective lifting.

To minimise soil damage the harvester is fitted with four 800/70 R38 tyres at the front and two 900/60 R32 tyres on a narrow rear axle which run between the front wheels to evenly spread the machine’s weight over the full working width, leaving a level field surface even when working in arduous conditions.

Cab & Vervaet Connect

The 625 is fitted with a modern ergonomic cab which provides exceptional visibility. A touch screen computer displays important information and statistics including harvested area and yield mapping (when fitted). The Vervaet Connect telematics system is fitted as standard. Data including machine location, status and settings is presented in real-time through the MyVervaet online portal, and remote diagnostics can also be carried out.

Topping & Lifting

The Combi 2 topper is capable of mulching tops between the rows or spreading to the right-hand side. Flail speeds of up to 1200rpm ensure tops are thoroughly pulverised. The topper conveniently folds for road transport, saving time and meaning that there’s no need to remove the harvesting unit and place it on an additional trailer.

The rotating walking share lifter is configured in three sections with each able to move independently to follow ground contours and with some sideways movement to accommodate drill joins when required. Three front turbines collect the beet with a larger central turbine for optimal beet flow. Hydraulic row-width adjustment is controlled from the cab. The lifter quickly and conveniently folds into three sections for road transport.

Engine & Running Gear

Thanks to a unique extending telescopic front axle the 925’s weight is spread evenly across the full 4.50m working width. In this way the harvested land is only run on once – the ultimate in low-ground pressure lifting with soil compaction kept to an absolute minimum. The field surface is left level even when working in extreme conditions, easing following cultivations.

Cleaning & Holding Tank

The 925 has a phenomenal cleaning capacity with a total of eight turbines. Cleaning begins as soon as the beet leave the ground with the first three turbines removing 50% of the soil. The system is also extremely gentle on the beet and has a wide range of adjustment to suit varying conditions. Turbine speed is steplessly adjusted from the cab and can be set to vary proportionally according to the machine’s forward speed. The ring trace runs in-line for optimised weight distribution and fills the 25-tonne capacity tank.
