J Riley Beet Harvesters (UK) Ltd requires a Stores Assistant.
About Us
J Riley is a long-established and progressive company. We are well-known as the country’s leading beet harvester specialists, but we have also been consistently expanding our range of slurry machinery which now includes self-propelled and trailed tankers along with dribble bar and trailing shoe applicators, disc and cultivator injectors and other associated handling equipment. We are the sole UK importers for the premium-quality Vervaet, Kumm Technik, Bomech and TBL Techniek ranges in addition to offering slurry-specific machinery from Evers, Hommes and Schouten.
The company has a reputation for providing first-class backup to our highly-valued customers the length and breadth of the country from our headquarters and main workshop facilities at Attlebridge in Norfolk.
About the role
In this role you will be responsible for assisting the stores manager as well as looking after customers and their immediate requirements. Other tasks include stock control using a computerised system, purchasing of stock and various tasks in a small but busy warehouse environment reacting to customers and internal engineers for a busy workshop.
As the right applicant, experience in a stores or warehouse environment would be of benefit. You will be a first-class communicator and organiser with excellent time management skills. Knowledge of Ibcos Gold software or another stock management system would also be an advantage. An agricultural background and sound understanding of modern agricultural machinery is very much preferred. Some degree of flexibility towards working hours may be necessary during peak seasons.
