High-speed high-tech spreading with extreme manoeuvrability

The Hydro Trike range can also be equipped with an umbilical slurry application system to create a high-capacity but low ground pressure spreading outfit perfect for working on bare land or top-dressing growing crops.

A Hydro Trike or Hydro Trike XL makes the ideal base machine for an umbilical applicator. With its one-wheel-per-track capability, either three wheels over 3.0m or five wheels over 4.5m, and optional central tyre inflation system, the Hydro Trikes is kind on soils.

Features

The umbilical system incorporates of a 6m³ buffer tank so that pumping can continue non-stop, irrespective of headland turns or pauses in work, maintaining output and continuity of application. The tank supplies the Trike’s own slurry pump and Vervaet Cyclone macerator, which has a reputation for being virtually un-blockable, ensuring a hassle-free application without stoppages. When turning on the headland the macerator switches from injecting to circulating, keeping the macerator clean and meaning that slurry is immediately available as soon as the applicator is lowered again.

Hose arms

Two types of hose carrier can be specified – a swinging-arm or rail-system. The swinging arm pivots from the tank and allows the hose to be manoeuvred around the machine automatically. It can also be positioned hydraulically by the operator. This also allows the umbilical machine to be used with all types of application tool. The rail-system allows the hose to slide along the width of the injector, easing headland turns.
All of the precision farming systems available for conventional Hydro Trike tanker-type spreaders can be specified, from GPS-controlled steering to a NIR sensor for real-time slurry analysis enabling nutrient-specific variable application rates.
